Participate with Arkansas Plant Board Apiary Inspector John Martin during a routine hive inspection at SWABKA’s Training Apiary or at a beekeepers beeyard. Learn how to properly perform a hive inspection to identify problems and make corrections. As part of the training, participants will complete a hive inspection checklist as they work through a hive. Beeswax Workshop
Two Saturdays in October TBA
Nashville City Park Green Room
9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Attend this two-day workshop to learn how to clean beeswax from your own hives and use the wax to coat your frames and to make candles, lip balms, salves and more. Participation in the classroom is free, but there may be a small charge for supplies for those wishing to make items to take home.
Please note that preregistration is required for all workshops to insure that there adequate supplies and accommodations for all participants.
