SWABKA workshops and workdays provide free “hands-in-the-hive” training opportunities throughout the year at Daddy Bob’s Training Apiary located in Nashville. These hands-on workshops will reinforce the six classroom sessions held at Hempstead Hall in Hope this year, so beginning beekeepers are encouraged to register for both classrooms and workshops. This year SWABKA is also offering a beeswax workshop in addition to the beekeeping training. For all the workshops, registration may be limited depending on space and resources available, so register early!

Daddy Bob’s Training Apiary and Area Bee Yards
Participate with Arkansas Plant Board Apiary Inspector John Martin during a routine hive inspection at SWABKA’s Training Apiary or at a beekeeper’s beeyard. Learn how to properly perform a hive inspection to identify problems and make corrections. As part of the training, participants will complete a hive inspection checklist as they work through a hive.
